National men�s handball begins today

Exim Bank 25th National Men’s Handball competition begins today at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the capital.
A total of  29 teams  including different services and districts teams are taking part in the competition.
Meanwhile, the Exim Bank 26th National Women’s competition will be held from December 20.   
In the men’s competition, out of 29 teams, 25 will play the first round with round robin league basis splitting into eight groups while rest of the four teams, - defending champions Border Guard Bangladesh, runners-up Bangladesh Police, third placed Bangladesh Ansar and fourth placed Chapainawabganj district will play directly in the second round, as the top fours of previous edition.  
Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) has earmarked a budget of Taka 13,44,750 for men’s event and Taka 12,39,300 for women’s division.
