Sugarcane crushing begins

Sugarcane crushing season began at Mobarakganj Sugar Mills (MKSM) in Kaliganj upazila yesterday with a target to produce 5,625 tonnes of sugar.
Mill officials said 75,000 tonnes of sugarcane will be crushed during 60 days of stipulated time. Abdul Haye, MP and president of district Awami League, formally inaugurated the crushing season. Anwarul Azim Anar MP, district administrator Adv. Abdul Wahed Jowarder and MD of MSM Md Delwar Hossain were present.
