RAJSHAHI: The Department of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in a drive fined the owners of three fast food shops Tk 17,000 in the city on Thursday afternoon on charge of selling unhygienic and substandard foods, reports BSS. A team of DNCRP conducted raid in Upashahar and Nawdapara markets and found Montu Varieties, Shahidullah Stores and Momena Fast Food Shopr preparing, possessing and selling foods in unhygienic condition. The team also fined the food shops Tk 17,000 and realized the fined money instantly, a press release said yesterday. Saiful Islam, assistant director of DNCRP, told BSS that such drive against the violations of consumers' rights will be continued during the days ahead for protecting the consumers' rights together with freeing the human body from any food poisoning and other contamination.
