�Bijoy Mela� begins

A month-long fair, styled ‘Bijoy Mela’, began at Hasan Ali Government High School ground of the district town yesterday aiming to uphold the spirit of the 1971 Liberation War.
Former foreign minister is expected to formally inaugurate the fair as chief guest in the afternoon on December 1.
The fair premises were decorated with colourful festoons and banners and the portraits of the six Bir Shresthos and the Father of the Nation have also been installed.Officer-in-charge of Sadar Model police station Mamunur Rashid said necessary security measures have been taken to organise the fair smoothly.
