Nandail mayor arrested

Police arrested Nandail municipality mayor SM Azizul Islam from upazila parishad area in the district on Monday  morning on sabotage charges.
The arrestee is also a local leader of BNP. Ataur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Nandail Police Station, said tipped-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Azizul at about 9:30 am. Azizul is accused in several cases including for planning subversive activities, the OC added.
