Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday called upon doctors to extend medical services to the people at the grassroots to pay due respects to Shaheed Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon, a martyr of the anti-autocracy movement, reports BSS.
“Shaheed Dr Milon was an honest, dedicated, patriotic and noble person who used to dream of extending medical services to the poor of remote areas of the country. Doctors should discharge their duties at the grassroots level if they have any respect for Dr Milon,” he said.
Mohammad Nasim said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organised by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) at its Dr Milon auditorium marking the 25th anniversary of martyrdom of Dr Shamsul Alam Khan Milon.
