Meem still misses acting

Sabreen Shaka Meem, who made her acting debut way back in 1992 through the drama serial titled ‘Uthon’, has not been seen in any tele-dramas or drama serials since 2012, ever since she got married. Despite receiving numerous offers to work on screen, due to her busy profession as a newscaster as well as her reluctance, she could not devote the time. She worked as a news presenter and programme anchor at ATN Bangla from November 2013 to July 2015. On the other hand, she began working at RTV as a news presenter and programme anchor since mid 2015. In addition, she has also been working on a project for the reputable NGO Care Bangladesh. Speaking about her current situation, she said, “At the moment, I am really having a good experience as a presenter and anchor. But to be honest, I still miss acting. Acting is something that I truly love and yes, I still have the desire to act. But so far, due to the lack of interesting scripts, I am reluctant. Besides, my busy schedule is also a reason. I would like to ask everyone for their well wishes and prayers that I remain happy overall with where I am in my life.”
To note, after making her acting debut in 1992, she received immense praise and came into the limelight for her role as Khairul Alam Sobuj’s daughter in the tele-drama ‘Attoja’, which was aired on BTV in 1994. She started to establish herself as an actress after that.
