Five fined Tk 4.10 lakh for cheating in test

Five students seeking admission for the session 2015-16 at the Moulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology in Tangail were arrested with electronic devices used for cheating during test yesterday. Proctor of the university Sirajul Islam said five admission seekers have been fined Tk4.10 lakh. One Nafiza Tasmim of Jamalpur district was fined Tk10,000, Nahid Hasan of Jamalpur, Main Uddin of Bogra, Abdullah Al-mamun and Abdul Wadud of Pabna were fined Tk100,000 each.  Four of the students are now in police custody. They will be released after payment of the fines. One female candidate has been released. VC of the university Ala Uddin said admission test was completed smoothly in cooperation with the district administration.
