New coach Maruf starts national team duty

Maruful Haque has already began the new arena of his coaching career when he took the charge of the national football team ahead of the SAFF Championship and started his new job with practical class yesterday at the BUET ground.
Maruful, who had a bright start of his coaching career with winning the Super Cup for Dhaka Mohammedan in 2006 also won the treble for the Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra including Federation Cup title, Independence Cup and the Bangladesh Premier League championship.
However, Maruful, who is the only UEFA A-license holder in the sub-continents, replaced the Italian coach Fabio Lopez on November 24 and have done the first session with nine players.
