�Abducted� minor girl found dead

NARAYANGANJ: Police recovered the body of a minor girl, who had been allegedly abducted by miscreants on Wednesday, from near her house at Girda Chowdhurypara village in Araihazar upazila of the district yesterday morning, reports UNB. The deceased was Rupa, 5, daughter of Hazrat Ali, hailing from the village. Officer-in-charge of Araihazar police station said a group of miscreants allegedly abducted the girl on Wednesday noon while she was playing in a field near her house. Late at night, the abductors demanded Tk3.6 lakh from the victim’s father as ransom over phone. Hazrat Ali refused to give them the ransom money and informed police of the matter. On Friday morning, locals informed police after noticing Rupa’s body near her house.
