Wickets in BPL matches turned to be a real concern for all the players, captains, coaches and team management of the franchisees. The scoring alongside chasing became stiffer in night than day matches despite being less dew.
In night match, it becomes difficult to score more than 120, where the scoring in day matches rise to near about 200. From Shakib, Mushfiq, Ryad to Mashrafe all echoed the same sentiment. Comilla Victorians skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza at post-match briefing said that he himself confused to understand the real trend of the wickets in matches.
“Wicket is very confusing. We can’t understand why it is being happened. The first match is being high-scoring match. But chasing 110-115-120 runs become difficult in the second match. The dew is not falling much and bowlers are not facing so trouble. But it’s too difficult to get that there is any impact of it,’ said Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.
“I don’t know why this behavior of the wicket is. It may be that many more matches of this season have been played in these wickets. It can’t take more pressure as matches are being held here one after another. But I myself don’t understand it,” Mortaza told media yesterday.
