Confce on Computer and Information Engineering begins at RUET
RAJSHAHI: The first International Conference on Computer and Information Engineering (ICCIE 2015) began at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) yesterday. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of RUET arranged the conference with the main thrust of exposing the recent advancement and innovation throughout the vast area of computer and information science. RUET Vice-chancellor Prof Rafiqul Alam Beg and Prof Dr Anirban Mukherjee from Kolyani University in India attended and addressed the opening session as the chief and special guests respectively with Prof Dr Nazrul Islam Mondal, Chairman of CSE, in the chair. Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council Ashraful Islam and its Director (Training) Inamul Kabir also spoke on the occasion.
Prof Beg expected that the conference will be an intellectual platform to share ideas and present the latest findings and experiences in the mentioned areas. Meanwhile, some worlds leading creative educators, researchers, consultants, training managers, policy makers, curriculum developers, entrepreneurs, and others in Computer Science Education are likely to participate in the spark discussion. Apart from this, some prospective authors submitted original technical papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the conference proceedings, said Dr Nazrul Islam Mondal.
