Currently, the 10-day 2015 Workshop for Myanmar’s Journalists was held in Kunming. More than 20 Myanmar journalists attended this workshop, caming from several news agencies such as the newspaper Light of Myanmar, the Chinese-language newspaper Golden Phoenix, Skynet TV station and so on.
The workshop aimed to introduce Myanmar journalists to the economic and social development of Yunnan, promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Myanmar in the field of press, and build up the friendship between the two sides. The teaching activities during this workshop were carried out in various fields such as lectures on special topics, case analysis and on-the-spot teaching. During the period, Myanmar journalists visited the Yunnan Daily Press Group and Yunnan Broadcast and Television Station. Together they held a forum with teachers and students from Mass Media School of the Kunming University of Science and Technology, and gathered news in Baoshan City.
According to a report, in recent years, some Yunnan media groups such as Yunnan Daily Press Group, Yunnan Broadcast and Television Station have carried out various exchanges and cooperation including mutual interviews, project construction, manpower training with media in Southeast Asia and South Asia. Hence, they have established a good platform for exchange and cooperation, and built up an effective partnership mechanism.
