India and Bangladesh yesterday decided to hold a regular meeting from administrative level aiming to put an end to smuggling, human trafficking and terrorism in the bordering areas of the two countries, reports UNB.
The decision was taken at a joint border conference on deputy commissioner level posts at Chittagong Circuit House yesterday.
Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati district Mohammad Shamsul Arefin led the Bangladesh
delegation while Ashish Madhaorao Mor, district administrator of Langlai District from Mizoram state led the Indian delegation respectively.
Three district administrators of Mizoram sector in India, deputy commissioners of Rangamati and Bandarban districts, police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members were present in the meeting.
