Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team will fly for Thailand today to participate in the upcoming qualifying round of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 2016.
Bangladesh have been drawn in the Group-A with Thailand, Scotland and Papua New Guinea. The visiting side will start their qualifier campaign with the match against Thailand to be held at Thailand Cricket Ground on November 28.
They will then play against Scotland and Papua New Guinea on November 29 and December 1 at Asian Institute of Technology Ground respectively.
Bangladesh head coach Janak Gamage, who is hopeful of playing in the next World Cup, said that they have capability to cross the hurdle of the qualifier. Jahanara Alam, who recently announced as the new Twenty20 skipper of Bangladesh, echoed the same sentiment.

Before that, BCB arranged an extempore series with Zimbabwe after South Africa women’s team refused to tour in Bangladesh on security grounds in October.
