A Swiss company, Astra Transcor Energy, is interested to invest $1 billion in energy sector of the country.
“Yes, the Swiss entity has expressed its keenness to invest about $ 1billion in the energy sector by setting up LNG terminal,” said a foreign ministry official. In order to discuss the issue, a high-powered delegation of the company is coming to Bangladesh next month, he said.
“They sent a letter requesting us to fix an appointment with the prime minister. We have forwarded the request to the Prime Minister’s Office to do the needful,” added the official.
