StanChart's CEO for South Asia in Dhaka

Ajay Kanwal, regional CEO, ASEAN and South Asia of Standard Chartered Bank, is visiting Dhaka, the bank said in a statement yesterday.
Bharat Padmanabhan, regional head of corporate and institutional banking for ASEAN and South Asia of the bank, is also here, the statement added.
Ajay will meet senior government officials as well as clients and staff members during the visit.
Ajay Kanwal was appointed regional chief executive officer (CEO), ASEAN and South Asia, Standard Chartered Bank on October 1. Prior to assuming his current role, Ajay oversaw the bank’s business in North East Asia, consisting of Korea, Japan, and Mongolia as its Regional CEO from April 2014. Ajay joined Standard Chartered Bank India in 1992 as senior manager of credit control and collection.
