‘Fortune favours the brave,’ a popular phrase that Mashrafe Bin Mortaza time and time again proved in his life. Probably the first and last player in the sports world who is still playing with seven surgeries on both knees and defying many injuries, Mashrafe needs not any certificate from anybody else about his passion and boldness. The Comilla Victorians skipper promoted him up in the batting order despite being a bowler as an audacious batting was needed at that time, with his side reeling on 54 for three against Chittagong Vikings. It was a gambling but Mashrafe won it with distinction, smashing his career best 56 off 32 and guided the side to win it by seven wickets. Captain showed the way and thereby became the player of the match.
