The authorities of Barishal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) have received 1,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for the doctors, nurses and other paramedics. Dr Bakir Hossain, director SBMCH, said, “They received total one thousand PPEs. Now we are distributing those to doctors, nurses and staff on duty from Saturday evening”. Dr Abdur Razzak, deputy director SBMCH, said, “These supplied PPEs could be used for multiple times. We preliminarily demanded for one thousand sets and received the same numbers. We hope the supply would be continued”. Meanwhile SBMCH, the largest public sector health service provider in the division, already prepared 150-bed isolation ward for corona affected patients. However there was no complete set of PPE supply till on Saturday evening.
