The deadly disease COVID-19 forced to postpone the much talked about polls and the annual general meeting of the Mohammedan Sporting Club for indefinite period, which was supposed to take place on April 18.
In an emergency press release signed by the interim chairman of the Mohammedan Sporting Club MA Amin Uddin announced the postponement news yesterday.
Meanwhile, the board of directors of the club in their meeting on March 15 fixed the schedule of the annual general meeting and the election of the club for April 18.
But the worldwide outbreak of coronavirus finally forced to postpone the election of the traditional and one of the most popular clubs in the country Mohammedan Sporting Club.
According to the press release, “Like all over the world, Bangladesh also attacked by the deadly coronavirus and under the circumstances the annual general meeting and all elections activities polls postponed until further decision.
Meanwhile, the last annual general meeting and the election of the Mohammedan Club was held in 2011 when Obaidul Karim was elected the chairman.
