A seventh grader was tortured after being tied to a tree over a trifling matter at Aralia village of Gazaria upazila in Munshiganj.
The offenders even recorded the whole episode on mobile phone. The victim, a student of a local school, said the incident took place on Wednesday when he went to a shop near his home. He protested when he saw some teens misbehaving with the shopkeepers.
At one stage of altercation, the teens tied him to a nearby tree and tortured him. They also undressed the boy and recorded it on phone. Md Saiful Islam, sub-inspector at Gazaria Police Station, said they visited the spot on Saturday.
"We've asked the father to lodge a complaint," he added.
