The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed that no new dengue patient was detected in the last 24 hours till 8am on Wednesday. According to daily update from DGHS, one dengue patient is currently being treated at a hospital in the capital. Since the beginning of the year, 263 dengue cases were reported. Of them, 262 had been discharged from hospitals. Bangladesh experienced a massive dengue outbreak last year. The government confirmed that dengue had claimed the lives of 179 people last year. Last year, 101,354 people were hospitalised with dengue in the country. Of them, 101,027 made full recovery.
