The cabinet secretary and principal secretary to the prime minister have asked the field administration to stop any political and religious rallies like waz mehfil, social and cultural gatherings, fearing spread of coronavirous in the country. The cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam and principal secretary to the prime minister Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus have asked their field-level colleagues through videoconference yesterday following the ongoing situation of spreading Coronavirous.
Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus has joined the videoconference from the Prime Minister’s Office and Khandker Anwarul from cabinet division in the afternoon with the divisional commissioners and the deputy commissioners as per the directive of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to tackle any situation of spreading the deadly virus.
Islamic Foundation urged Muslim devotees having fever, cough and symptoms of coronavirus not to go to mosques for Jum’a prayers amid the recent outbreak of the deadly virus.
Islamic Foundation rolled out the directives, said a press release. The directives are issued to protect everyone including the Muslim devotees and make them alert, the release added.
