Miraj urges all to stay safe from COVID-19

After the whole world has been suffering from the deadly COVID-19 outbreak that has turned into a pandemic with many sports events or tournaments have either been cancelled or postponed across world, national team all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz urged everyone to take care and stay safe while combating coronavirus.

The 22-year-old came up with a message for everyone while talking to the reporters at the SBNCS yesterday.

“I’ve never seen such a lockdown all parts of the world in my life and how the people are going through a panic situation. It’s very uncomfortable to see. It has become all about life and death of people. So I advised everyone to pray to Allah for the welfare of entire human being,” Miraz said.

When asked about his possible return to cricket Miraz replied, “Life is the ultimate priority. I just want to say safety comes first before anything. If we could stay alive, then we could play cricket too, Miraz further added.

Amid COVID-19 scare, a number of cricketers gathered at the SBNCS in Mirpur to have individual practice, gym sessions where they shared about their views about the COVID-19.

“Actually we’re also getting a little bit panicked at the moment. But we all are well aware of it. Hope we will overcome the fear with the grace of Allah,” Miraz viewed.

The all-rounder also urged everyone to follow the doctor’s guidance such as frequently washing hands as per given direction and offer five waqt prayers to minimize the scare.
