The cabinet yesterday approved the draft of the president’s speech to be delivered in parliament’s special session marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The approval was given at the regular cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office here.
“The speech will feature the Father of the Nation’s life sketch, political philosophy and his role in the parliament,” Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told media at the Bangladesh Secretariat here after the meeting.
President Md Abdul Hamid will address the Parliament at the outset of its two-day special session beginning March 22 as part of the Mujib Barsha celebration.
