A woman on Thursday received serious burn injuries following an explosion of a gas cylinder she was using to inflate balloons. The accident occurred at Boktarpur of Savar. The injured has been identified as Minara Begum, 40, wife of Abul Bashar of the area. Locals said that the woman and her son Sumon had been illegally selling gas for balloons for a long time from home at great risk to themselves and their neighbours.
On Thursday morning, the woman sustained serious burns when the cylinder exploded while she was producing gas. Later her family members rescued her in critical condition and admitted her to Enam Medical College and Hospital. The physicians of the hospital informed that various parts of her body were burnt.
