RU BCL leader comes under attack

General secretary of Rajshahi University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Khalid Hasan Biblab came under attack allegedly by Shibir activists at Kajla Bazar in the city yesterday, reports UNB. BCL leaders alleged that a group of 20-25 Shibir men brought out a procession in the area and threw a crude bomb at Biblab from the procession while he along with three accompanies on a motorcycle was going to the university around 6:30pm. They also fired two bullets and threw brick chips at him. However, he escaped the attack unhurt. The attackers had managed to flee the scene before police rushed in. Contacted, officer-in-charge of Matihar Police Station Humayan Kabir said they were trying to arrest the culprits.
