Misbah-ul-Haque showed his unflappable temperament in a crucial moment to steer Rangpur Riders through a torrid period. His 39 ball-61, that studded with three fours and fours sixes helped Riders script a thrilling two-wicket win in its BPL opener against Chittagong Vikings who was seemingly heading towards a comfortably victory by scything down the Riders top order to make them 23 for four. Misbah, aided by youngster Al-Amin Hossain firstly revived the innings with a 64 runs partnership and then smashed 80 off 35 balls with Thisara Perera to help the side clinch an unlikely victory. The impetus which he gave made him an undisputed player of the match.
