Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami enforced a countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal for today protesting the Supreme Court (SC) verdict that upheld the death penalty of its secretary general Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mojaheed by hanging him for war crimes.
In a statement, Jamaat acting ameer Makbul Ahmad announced the strike.
