Minor boy found dead

Bagharpara police recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy from his own residence at Raipur village in Bagharpara upazila of Jessore district on Saturday night. The dead was identified as Habibullah, 11, a student of class-III at Raipur Government Primary School and son of late Ilias Hossain.Shahjahan Ali, uncle of the victim, said about three months ago after his brother Ilias Hossain died, victim’s mother Marjina Begum developed an illicit relation with  day labourer Uzzal.  Shahjahan alleged that Uzzal strangled the boy to death out of jealousy in the absence of his mother and hanged the body from the ceiling of their house. Nasirul Haque Khan, sub inspector at Bagharpara police station, quoting locals said police recovered the body from the residence of the victim. “It is not clear about cause of his death,” he added. It will be clear after the postmortem report is available.
