Taskeen Ahmed, managing director of Ifad Autos Ltd, has recently been elected president of India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) for the period of 2015 - 17, a press statement said yesterday.
Aditya Ajit Kumar Shome, managing director of Marico Bangladesh Ltd, and Dewan Sultan Ahmed, managing director of Bangladesh System Technologies Ltd, have also been elected vice-presidents.
While, Jyotibrata Banerjee, managing director of CEAT AKKHAN Ltd, Abdul Wahed, managing director of Quality Enterprise, Kutub Uddin Khan Shelley, managing director of RS Syndicate Pvt Ltd, were elected honorary secretary general, joint secretary general, and treasurer respectively.
Other members of the 16-member newly elected board are – Aroop Nath Chatterjee of Asian Paints Ltd, Mohammad Ali of Mohammad Enterprise, Muktar Ahmed Sarkar of Indofil Bangladesh Industries Pvt.
