Nepal is keen to use the Mongla Port as both Bangladesh and Nepal are at the final stage of inking an agreement in this regard. Nepalese Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Secretary Baikuntha Aryal said this during a view exchange meeting between the Nepalese business delegation and Mongla Port Authority held at its conference room yesterday. Chaired by Mongla Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad, Harbour Master Commander Sheikh Fakhar Uddin made a power-point presentation on the existing facilities and future plan of the Mongla Port. The Nepalese delegation also visited the Mongla Port jetty and other facilities.
