GOLAM MUSTAFA MEMORIAL AWARD
Afzal, Laboni awarded this year

Celebrated actor Afzal Hossain and eminent elocutionist Progga Laboni have been awarded the Golam Mustafa Smiriti Sammanna 2019 (Golam Mustafa Memorial Award 2019) this year. The award ceremony was held at the Chattogram Shilpakala Academy in Chattogram on Monday.
Paying tribute to the memory of veteran elocutionist and actor Golam Mustafa, Tarunyer Uchchhash, a recitation organisation based in the port city Chattogram, conferred the award. Each of the award recipients received an uttorio (celebratory scarf), a set of poetry books, memorial award and an amount of Tk.10, 000.
Social scientist Dr Anupam Sen and popular actress and Member of Parliament Suborna Mustafa, also the daughter of Golam Mustafa, were present as guests at the programme.
The guests at the event recalled the contribution of Golam Mustafa to the arena of elocution. Sangeet Bhuban and Abhyuday Sangeet performed music at the programme which was arranged in association with Indian Assistant High Commission. l
