Two walk to gallows for rape, murder of minors

A court here yesterday sentenced two youths to death for the rape and murder of two four-year-old girls in the city’s Demra area on January 7 last year. Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-3 Judge Joyshree Somaddar sentenced Golam Mostafa and Azizul Bawani to death and fined them Tk 50,000 each. On January 7, police recovered the bodies of Nursat Jahan, daughter of Palash, and Dola Akther , daughter of Faridul from the ground floor of a seven-storey building on Shahjalal Road in Demra. Police arrested the two youths a day after the incident.
