Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation (BSSF), who has been going through in an embarrassing situation for last one year. The BSSF however heaves a sigh of relief as the IFIC Bank came forward in this crisis moment to assist them with giving a cheque for Taka one million.
In a meeting at the IFIC Tower in Motihjeel area in the capital, Shah A Sarwar, managing director and CEO of the IFIC Bank handed over the cheque to Intekhabul Hamid, general secretary of the BSSF yesterday.
The IFC Bank donated the money to shooting as a part of its (IFIC Bank)) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity.
Shah A Sarwar Managing told the reporters that they have been doing a lot of activities as their Corporate Social Responsibilities it was also part of that.
“Actually we have been doing a lot of activities as the part of social responsibility of the bank, the shooting federation is doing a lot of works, so to encourage the federation we provided the financial assistance,” said the MD and the CEO of the IFIC Bank. Replying to a query MD of IFIC Bank said that they have no any plan or there is any opportunity to appoint shooters in IFIC Bank but if shooter can feel the criteria to have a job in the IFIC Bank then it can be considered.
Intekhabul Hamid when talking to the reporters after receiving the cheque said that after joining as the GS he saw that the federation is going through crisis and yet to get rid of the problems.
Intekhab replying to a query said that they have plan to appoint foreign coach and also organise a coaches' coaching programme to develop the shooting.
Intekhab informed that they will important shooting equipments (arm and ammunitions), what he feels it is badly needed for the shooters to carry out their activities. Ace shooter Abdullah Hel Baki also feels the necessity of foreign coach when he told to the reporters after the cheque handover ceremony.
