Kidnapped student found dead

Police yesterday recovered the body of a madrasha student who was kidnapped allegedly by his friends from Vagna area under Model thana area here three days ago. The deceased was identified as Moksedul Momin, 17, son of Shahab Uddin and a resident of Bonddakpara area of model thana. Kazi Mainul Islam, OC of the police station, said Momin’s friends kidnapped him on February 24 and demanded Tk 2 crore from his family as ransom. Shahab Uddin lodged a GD with the model thana. Police detained Momin’s friend Fahim on Wednesday, who reportedly confessed to police that he and his four friends stabbed Momin to death and buried the body beside Ratan’s farm.
