Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is expected to face disciplinary action against ten national team booters. Those players were alleged to break the set FIFA rules by leaving the team hotel ahead of the World Cup and Asia Cup qualifier against Australia on November 16. It was learnt that they leave the hotel around 3pm and even those players joined the practice session almost one hour behind the schedule time. It was further learnt that those players went to their club house in Dhanmondi to comply the club president’s invitation. Incidentally all the players are belonged to Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.
The sources further added that team manager and other officials admitted the incident and later informed it to BFF president Kazi Salahuddin. However, the BFF has called an emergency meeting tomorrow (Saturday) where the matter would be discussed and most likely the players would face disciplinary action.
Meanwhile, BFF president Kazi Salahudin told the media that he knew the matter. But he did no go for any action before the Australia-Bangladesh match because which could have hampered the team performance and it may lead to a horrible situation.
