A former professor of Jahangirnagar University was killed as a train hit him on Moghbazar level crossing in the capital yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Prof Dr Mohiuddin, 65, a retired professor of the university. Sub-Inspector of Kamalapur Railway GRP Police Station Rafiqul Islam said a speedy train hit Mohiuddin while he was walking along the level crossing around 2:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot. His family members took the body for burial without post-mortem, he said.
