The Korean government has committed EDCF loan of US $ 350 million to Bangladesh's infrastructure development projects, reports UNB.
The governments of Bangladesh and Korea yesterday signed the EDCF (Economic Development Cooperation Fund) Framework Arrangement which will enable Bangladesh to obtain EDCF loan up to US$ 350 million for 2015 to 2017 from Korea to finance infrastructure development projects. Speaking on the occasion, Korean Ambassador in Dhaka Anh Seung-doo said Bangladesh is already one of the high priority countries in theODA operations of the Korean government.
Korea will continue to take a pivotal role in socioeconomic growth and industrial development of Bangladesh now and forever by securing effective implementation of the Korean ODA in the best sustainable way, he said.
