United States Ambassador Marcia Bernicat met State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim at the secretariat in the capital yesterday and conveyed Washington’s continued support for the minister’s efforts to develop the telecommunications sector.
Bernicat also expressed her appreciation for the steps the government has taken to improve the overall security of the foreigners in Bangladesh, said a US Embassy press release.

“The U.S. will continue to walk side by side with Bangladesh on its path to a better future, a future of impressive economic growth in an environment of stability,” she said.
