Natl report on lead in paints tomorrow

Environment and Social Development Organisation (ESDO) will celebrate its 25th anniversary and will launch a national report on Lead in New Enamel Household Paints in Bangladesh 2015 tomorrow (June 6), says a press release. In order to celebrate the silver jubilee, ESDO will form a human chain in front of the National Press Club in the capital at 9.30am on Saturday. Later, the national report launching programme will be held at the conference hall of the National Press Club at 10:30 am to 12.30 am on the same day. Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hossain Manju will be the chief guest at the national report launching event. Delegate of European Union (EU) will be the special guest. Syed Marghub Murshed, former secretary and chairperson of ESDO, Shahriar Hossain, secretary general of ESDO, Siddika Sultana, executive director of ESDO, Md Shamsuzzaman, secretary general of Bangladesh Paint Manufacturers Association (BPMA), will also present at the programme. ESDO in association with International POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutant) Elimination Network (IPEN) and European Union (EU) will organise the national report launching programme.
