Khaleda returns tomorrow
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is finally returning home tomorrow ending her stay for over two months in London for treatment.
Khaleda will return home at 5pm on Saturday without completing her treatment considering the critical juncture of the country’s politics, BNP spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon said at a press conference at the party chief’s Gulshan office yesterday.
Earlier, Shairul Kabir Khan, an official of the BNP chairperson's press wing, told reporters that Khaleda Zia was scheduled to leave London by an Emirates flight yesterday.
Khaleda Zia went to London for surgery on her eyes and knees on September 16. She was reunited with her grand children and her elder son Tarique Rahman and celebrated Eid-ul-Azha with them.

She had to change the schedule for her return to the country several times on her doctors’ advice leading to speculations over her return despite big developments in the political arena back home.
Meanwhile, talking to reporters, her lawyer Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokan said, on her return, Khaleda would appear before the court in two corruption cases.
ACC lawyers on the other hand said action would be taken against the BNP chief if she fails to appear before the court in Niko corruption case on the scheduled date set for November 26.
In another development, Tarique Rahman has asked the party leaders and activists not to celebrate his 51st birth day by cutting cakes, said Asaduzzaman Ripon.
Instead the party has arranged for milad and doa mahfil at party headquarters yesterday as per Tarique’s directives, he said.
