Youth hacked to death

GAZIPUR: A youth was hacked to death at Mukterbari area of Tongi under Gazipur city on Tuesday night. The victim was Sajjad Hossain Badal, 20, son of Asad Miah of the area. Local people claimed that he was a mobile phone set snatcher in the area. Sources said Muktar and some of his associates Rafik, Jewel and others often snatch mobile phone sets from the pedestrian. On Tuesday afternoon, Muktar and his associates snatched a mobile phone set from a local people. Locals chased him and caught along with a sharp weapon used while snatching. Later, the angry mob beat him and hacked, leaving Muktar injured seriously.
