328 cartons cigarettes seized

Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBN) on Thursday arrested a man with 328 cartons foreign cigarettes at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The detainee was identified as Md. Monjur Ali, 26. APBN Additional Superintendent of Police (operations and media) Alamgir Hossain Shimul today confirmed the matter to the news agency. Legal actions have been taken in this regard, he added. The estimated cost of the seized cigarettes is approximately Tk 9.84 lakh.
