Confusion over Kapali�s team status in BPL

Alok Kapali created a new debate by joining the practice of Rangpur Riders yesterday. Kapali, a ‘B grade’ player went unsold during the BPL’s players draft on October 22. But later he was picked up Comilla Victorians who apprised BPL governing council about the inclusion of Kapali in their team through an email.
But his practice with the Rangpur Riders created confusion. The BPL governing council however as of now is not aware of the latest incident. A member involved in BPL said if the player joined Rangpur Riders from Comilla through mutual consent, it would be okay but in that case both parties need to inform the governing council about the incident. Kapali was the icon of Sylhet during the first BPL in 2012.
The BPL is not only a profitable tournament but also kept the organisers immensely busy in correcting different mistakes and irregularities, intentionally or unintentionally made by the franchisees.
Sources said, some franchisees have already made irregularities in the aspect of recruiting the foreign players also as they didn’t seek the NOC for the particular player. In some cases it was seen, a particular franchisee acquired a play from the BPL draft but now wants to replace him.
According to the sources, a franchisee only can seek a replacement of a player if he is injured or can’t join BPL due to the national interest.
