RAJSHAHI: At least 250 train passengers were fined on charge of their travelling without tickets in Rajshahi Railway Station yesterday, reports BSS.
In an effort to prevent train-passengers without ticket, local railway authority conducted a drive led by Executive Magistrate Abdul Mannan, Chief Estate Officer of West Zone of Bangladesh Railway, since 6 am and caught the passengers red-handed. They were fined Taka 155 each. "From now on, we will conduct raid everyday to resist the passengers in train travelling without tickets," Magistrate Mannan said while talking to the journalists.
