Robbery in 15 trucks, auto- rickshaws

Sylhet: A gang of armed robbers looted valuables waylaying 15 trucks and CNG-run auto-rickshaws at Barni on the Sylhet-Companiganj road on Tuesday night, reports UNB.
Witnesses said the robber gang, split into three groups, carried out the robbery in the Sylhet-bound vehicles around 8pm and looted cash, mobile phone sets and other valuables at gunpoint.
Policemen were present near the spot; yet they did not take any steps to prevent the robbery, witnesses added.
