12 lighterage vessels fined in Ctg port

A mobile court yesterday fined 12 lighterage vessels Tk 3.50 lakh in Chittagong port for operating ships without having a master and licenses.
The court led by Chittagong administrative magistrate and Executive Magistrate of Chittagong Port Authority Abul Hashem.
“12 Lightererage vessels were fined many reasons such as creating obstruction for moving large vessels in the port channel, operating boats without master, not keeping security equipment in vessels for overloading” said Abul Hashem.
CPA Prosecution Officer Md Mehraj, Accounts Officer Md Imrul and Bench Assistant Aminul Islam were also present during the mobile court drive.
