14th BAUS Conference 2020 of Bangladesh Association of Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons was held at Intercontinental Hotel, Dhaka on 11 and 12 January followed by Live Operative Workshop at NIKDU on 13 January with the slogan Bridging Urologists for Better Care.
Mr. Zahid Maleque MP, Honourable Minister, Ministry of Health and Family Planning was Chief Guest at the Inaugural Ceremony. Other guests present were Mr.Ashraful Islam, Secretary-Health, Sk. Yusuf Harun, Secretary-Public Admn, Md. Ali Noor, Secretary-Med Edn., Dr. Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, President -BMA, Prof. M. Iqbal Arsalan, President-Swadhinata Chikitsak Parisad, Dr Md. Ehtesamul Huq Chouhury, Secy Gen. BMA, Prof. M. A. Aziz, Secy Gen. Swadhinata Chikitsak Parisad.
Various interesting scientific sessions and discussions were held during 3day event. Muhammad Saduz-zaman Choudhury, Mubashir Shabil Billah, Mutahar Ahmed from USA, Taishi Matsuuera, Sohtaro Kanayo from Japan, Allen Wen-Hsiang CHIU, Yao-Chi Chuang from Taiwan, Paksi Satyagraha from Indonesia, Anil Kumar Kantilal Takvani, Shivam Priyadarshi, Mallikarjuna Chiruvella, Ravindra Bhalchandra Sabins, Rajeeb Thekumpadam Pthen Veetil from lndia and renowned urologists of the country presented their papers.
Prof. Idris Lashkar and Maj. Gen. Siraj Jinnat Memorial lecturers were held and gold medals were awarded to winners. Conference ended with beautiful cultural program. The whole events were organised by BAUS in collaboration with AUA,SIU etc and with support from UniMed UniHealth.
