60 maunds of ‘jatka’ seized

Members of Bangladesh Coastguard (BCG), in a drive, seized about 60 maunds of jatka from Wireless Bazar in Chandpur Sadar yesterday morning.

Later, these seized fishes were distributed among the orphanages and destitute people on the coastguard office premises yesterday with presence of the Upazila Sadar Fisheries officer Mahbub Rashid.  According to the coastguard office, acting on a tip off, coastguard members  conducted a drive early in the morning at Wireless Bazar and seized the 60 maunds of jatka from a fish trading house.
